Age verification

Nicotine pouches are restricted to adults. We verify age twice: once at checkout, once at delivery where carrier law requires it.

Minimum age by market

  • 18+ — Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, UK, Ireland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Italy, Canada (most provinces), New Zealand, South Africa, Japan, Israel, UAE
  • 21+ — United States (federal Tobacco 21 law, all states)

The minimum is enforced at the customer's billing country, not the shipping country. If the two differ, we apply the stricter limit.

How we verify at checkout

We use a third-party age-verification partner that cross-references government-issued ID against an electoral or registry record. The check happens during checkout, before payment authorisation. No image of your ID is stored on our servers — the verification partner returns a pass/fail signal only.

If the automated check is inconclusive (common for younger adults with thin records), the partner falls back to a real-time selfie + ID-document check. This adds about 90 seconds to checkout. Once verified, your account is flagged as age-verified for future orders.

How we verify at delivery

In specific markets, the carrier checks a government-issued ID at the point of handover. The carrier will not release the package to anyone unable to produce one or to anyone visibly under the local minimum age.

Markets with carrier-side ID-at-delivery: UK, Norway, Germany (carrier-dependent), parts of the US (state-dependent). We list the per-market specifics in our checkout flow before you complete the order.

We don't ship to unattended addresses, parcel lockers, or buzzer-access entries in markets where ID-at-delivery is required. Choose a delivery slot where a verified adult can sign for the package.

What happens if you fail verification

The order is cancelled and the authorisation hold released back to your card (typically 3–5 business days, depending on your bank). You'll receive an email explaining the failure category — usually a recoverable issue (typo in name or date of birth, document expired) that can be corrected on a re-attempt. Genuine underage attempts are recorded and the IP / email pair is blocked from future orders.
