How we choose what to carry
There are roughly forty nicotine-pouch brands competing across the European and North American markets. We carry six. The cut between "on this catalogue" and "not on this catalogue" is editorial, not exhaustive — we are deliberately not trying to be the largest catalogue, we are trying to be the catalogue you don't need to second-guess. The line we hold has three criteria.
First, the brand has to be reviewable. The eight-dimension functional framework (kick intensity, kick onset, lip comfort, duration in minutes, drip volume, moisture retention, discreteness, build quality) only generates useful scores on a brand with a stable product range. A brand that re-formulates every six months produces scores that go stale before they're useful; a brand with one SKU produces a single data point. The six brands we carry each ship a coherent range of three to eighteen SKUs at multiple strengths or formats, which gives the framework enough surface area to actually differentiate.
Second, the brand has to be sourceable through independent wholesale rather than through the major multinational tier contracts. Swedish Match (now part of Philip Morris International), British American Tobacco, and Imperial Brands run volume contracts with the largest retailers that we cannot match on price-per-can. We don't compete on those brands; we'd lose on price and bring nothing else to the comparison. The independent-channel brands we do carry sit outside those tier contracts, which structurally puts our per-can pricing below the major retailers' for the same products.
What we don't carry, and why
We do not carry traditional Swedish snus. The category overlaps in shape but is regulated differently (the EU snus ban with the Sweden/Norway exemption restricts where we could legally sell it), and there are several long-running Swedish snus specialists who do that better than we could. Our catalogue is tobacco-free pouches only. We also do not carry Lyft, ZYN, or VELO — the three brand-intent volume drivers from the major multinationals — for the wholesale-tier reason above. If you specifically want one of those brands, the major Swedish retailers (Snusbolaget, Haypp) carry them and we'd point you there honestly.
We do not carry any brand we cannot reach for an editorial conversation with the brand owner. Verifiable ownership, verifiable manufacturing location, and a contactable brand-owner team are minimum criteria — not for legal reasons, but because the brand-hub content on this site documents what is verifiable and flags what isn't. Brands that won't answer the owner-attribution question get flagged on their hub page as "owner not on public packaging"; brands that answer dishonestly get dropped from the catalogue.
The archetype framework
The brand cards below are grouped by their distribution archetype — Universal-win brands distribute through independent channels and structurally undercut the multinationals on per-can pricing; Cross-border dominant brands are recognised across multiple national markets as category icons and anchor regional landing pages; Heritage/specialty brands have a defined niche with thin competitor overlap. The archetype determines the comparison-page logic and the recommendation framing on each brand hub — it does not determine which brands we like better. All six are equally inside the catalogue once they meet the three criteria above.
Universal-win brands
Brands distributed through independent channels rather than the multinational tier contracts — the per-can rate is structurally below the major labels on overlapping retailer shelves.
