Frequently asked
The questions we get most, answered without marketing flourish.
Buying
Where does Nico Pod Store ship?+
We ship to a published list of live markets — Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Austria, UK, US, and more. The full list with regulatory notes is on our shipping page. We do not ship to markets where nicotine pouches are restricted by law (France, Belgium, Netherlands, Spain, Hungary, Portugal, Australia).
How do you keep prices below the major retailers?+
We curate a smaller catalogue than the volume retailers (haypp, snusbolaget) and run a leaner overhead. The brands we carry sit outside the Swedish-multinational distribution tiers, which structurally puts per-can wholesale below the major-label rates the volume retailers price against. Per-can math is published on every product page across our 1/5/10/30-pack ladders.
Can I subscribe?+
Subscription is wired at launch. We frame it on flexibility (no binding, cadence picker per product, free shipping above threshold) rather than a discount percentage. Set the interval that matches your real consumption — most users land on bi-weekly or monthly.
Do you ship anonymously?+
Parcels carry no Nico Pod Store branding on the outside. The return address is a fulfilment partner. The contents declaration on customs forms is required by law and lists nicotine pouches honestly — we don't mis-label.
Reviews and editorial
Why don't you score taste?+
Taste is the most subjective sensory dimension of any pouch product. Telling you what taste to expect is, in practice, a coin flip. We measure functional dimensions instead — kick, onset, comfort, duration, drip, moisture retention, discreteness, build quality. See our how-we-review page for the full methodology.
Who writes the reviews?+
Real users we onboard as named reviewers. Every review carries a byline with the reviewer's country and snus history. No anonymous editorial team, no AI-generated reviews, no marketing copy disguised as reviews.
Can I review for you?+
Yes — write to hello@nicopodstore.com with your snus history, country, and a short paragraph on why you'd be useful. We onboard 1–3 new reviewers per month.
Products
What's the difference between snus and nicotine pouches?+
Traditional Swedish snus contains tobacco. Nicotine pouches (white snus, tobacco-free pouches) contain nicotine but no tobacco — the carrier is typically cellulose or plant fibre. Most products we carry are nicotine pouches, not snus. Where we carry tobacco snus, it's labelled separately.
What does mg/g mean?+
Milligrams of nicotine per gram of pouch contents. A standard slim pouch weighs about 0.7g, so a 10 mg/g pouch contains roughly 7mg of nicotine. The number on the label is mg/g, not mg/pouch — easy to confuse.
How do brand strength tiers (Regular / Strong / X-Strong) map to mg/g?+
Each brand uses its own scale. On our launch catalogue: Regular maps to ~6 mg/g, Medium to ~8 mg/g, Strong to ~12 mg/g, Extra Strong / X-Strong to ~16 mg/g. CLEW labels in mg-per-pouch (10mg) rather than mg/g — divide by pouch weight to compare. We carry the mg/g figure on every product page so you can compare like-for-like across brands, not by tier label.
What's the difference between Slim, Mini, Superslim, and Large?+
Format dimensions. Slim is the most common (about 7×30mm, fits under the upper lip). Mini is shorter and thinner — chosen for discreteness. Superslim is thinner than slim. Large is wider and longer — chosen for longer duration. Format affects discreteness more than strength.
Safety and use
Are nicotine pouches safer than cigarettes?+
The UK government's harm-reduction position is that nicotine pouches are substantially less harmful than smoking. That's not a claim we make ourselves — it's the regulatory consensus position. They are not risk-free. Nicotine is addictive. See our responsible-use page for the unvarnished version.
Will pouches damage my gums?+
Reported long-term effects include gum recession at the pouch site and reversible irritation. The medical literature is younger than the products are popular, so caveats apply. We score lip comfort on every reviewed product to flag the more irritating formulations.
Can I swallow the saliva?+
Yes — it's common and not medically dangerous in normal quantities. Some users report nausea or upset stomach from heavy drip; our drip-volume score helps you pick products with less drip if that's a concern.
